Re: Building a Garage, Few ?

The height of my shop was not a HOA, none in my neighborhood (blessing and a curse!) The roof peak of the detached shop was limited in height due to the existing structure (my house). I maxed out the shop height. Lots of other ticky tack revisions to the original plans too, it would make your head spin. It's no wonder people don't want to go to the government to get a permit. Oh, least of which it took nearly 8 weeks to finally get permits.

Re: Building a Garage, Few ?

Well I'm not to happy, after telling me that my play was no problem yesterday I went back to the city, and was told my plan met all the requirement back was to big(sq ft wise) so I have to settle for a 32x28, unless I want to pay them more money for a variance and even then its not a sure thign I'll be allowed to do what I want, at a place I bust my butt to afford. Gotta love city regulations.

Re: Building a Garage, Few ?

Might do a build thread but the garge will take a while, probaly just gonna get the foundation and slab done for now, then as money comes I'll do the rest. Now that you said that, 896 sq ft sounds nice.
