my first 50 model, nova front clip issues

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1329971672

This my 50 chevy pickup first project bought it and a 52 together. this truck has a "rear steer" nova front clip in it. and im in need of some advice as to the length of my steering column and the location and attachment to the gear box

as you can see in order to have a shot a lining the column with the gear box i had to cut another hole. and still have roughly 6"-7" from gear box to fire wall has any one used this front end and if so how did you situate the steering column? a straight shot to gear box with a universal joint? im worried this mispositions the steering wheel inside by moving it so far any suggestions thanks, ive been watching alot of builds nightly for at least year and love the knowledge and ideas shown on here Thanks

Nothing from anyone? No pictures ? I know a lot of you know about the rear steer nova clips. But no one has ever seen one used? Is it bad to connect the steering column directly with box ?

I have the same clip on my 48....I bought the truck with it on it and yeah same issue. I also had to cut a new hole to line it up and I used a wrag joint to connect the column. It looks like you need a shorter column.
