Dodge van steel wheels

Anyone run Dodge steel wheels on their Chevy/GMC?
Model #2059 - second from the bottom on this page:
http://www.originalwheels.com/dodge-...an1994rims.php
Does anyone know if Chevy 3/4 ton dog dish hub caps will fit on these rims?
They appear to be a good alternative to the 16.5 steel wheels.

Re: Dodge van steel wheels

I actually have Ford van wheels on 2 of mine, they are 16x7 and the GM hub caps fit just fine, the Ochre one has LT245/75/16 tires and the Green 4x4 has LT285/75/16 tires

Re: Dodge van steel wheels

I know...I know digging this thread up from the grave, but wanted to ask what year Ford or Dodge wheels are these? I'm a newbie to this 8 lug stuff.

Re: Dodge van steel wheels

The Ford ones will be marked "Accuride" if they are 7" SAE pre-96 wheels. Anything earlier will fit. Any Dodge wheel for hubcaps, until they changed the style to multi-slots and center caps, with wheels painted silver. This type of 8-lug wheel was interchangeable on GMs until metric sizes came out. Just have to make sure they are 8 on 6.5" and not metric, which is very close but different.

Re: Dodge van steel wheels

Uh-oh. I bought an 8-lug 16" wheel from a local wrecking yard for a spare. I think it came from a late-model Suburban. Guess I'd better verify it will fit before I go camping again. :/

Re: Dodge van steel wheels

The E350 vans used them until the early 2000’s I believe. Mine are stamped both Ford and Accuride.

Re: Dodge van steel wheels

Yeah, the same wheel was used on Vans after '96. Vans never went metric.

I don't think any late 8-lug Suburbans were metric. The steel style from 88-on is SAE and so is that first alloy design from '99-on. They stopped making 8-lug Suburbans... bummer.

Re: Dodge van steel wheels

I picked up 4 E350 wheels from a 90' van. Only thing I noticed is they don't have the nubs for dog dish type caps.

Re: Dodge van steel wheels

At some point after '96 Vans stopped coming with hubcaps, either open wheels or plastic wheel covers 0n steel wheels. So, the centers changed by losing the nubs. That's why I say be careful referring to these as simply van wheels.

Re: Dodge van steel wheels

After having surgery on both hands last year, I'm not up to wrenching the lug nuts on my truck, yet. That's a long way from being able to pick up a SBC short block (not just a bare block) and heave it into a truck bed by myself. Guess I'll have to have one of my sons make the check, and call AAA if I'm on the road and have a flat. But I guess the alternative to getting old is worse...though I wouldn't know!
