Funny when I first saw the post, I was going to ask what color and brand paint. Then I realized it was most likely painted with Testors.

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66

Here is a before and after pic, 4" rear, 3" front springs, 235/75 rear, 225/75 front, mounted on my wrecking yard find rallys. Once everthing has settled probably going to take a little off the front coils, get it about 1" or so lower. If you look real close in the top pic you can see a couple old chevys in the back round. There is about an 80 year old women that lives there. In that garage is a 70ish c10 that her late husband bought new. Promissed to one of her sons.

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66

Hey All. Does anyone have pictures of a 1"/3" drop? I realize it's not much, so most wouldn't opt for it, but I don't like the stock ride height and I'm trying to decide if I can live with it as an interim approach.

Ultimately, I want a 3-1/2"/5" drop using the 1 and 3 inch springs and 2-1/2" spindles with 2" blocks. However, I'm not ready for the spindle and disc upgrade now. I hate to spend money on springs I'll get rid of eventually, but if I don't like a 1/3, I'll go 2/3 springs with a 1" block for now and just replace front springs later when I do final drop.

Oh and yes, it's lowered already, but the PO did it with shadetree methods and it rides like a tank.

oakcustoms, how bouncey is your ride since you cut all your coils? I like your stance and if its not bad, i'll probably end up doing the same thing.

Re: How about some pics of Static dropped 60-66

Why would the ride be bouncy?? Its not like its some stupid slammed import that rubs on a bottle cap going down the road. The spring is still there, as well shocks.. My old set up was cut coils rode fine. Just less travel.

when you cut a coil spring not heat it it will increase the load capacity and make it ride horrible......now i do have a c-20 so the springs are heavy duty! i am saving up for a 5 lug and air bags
