Oh yeah...that`s right up my ally.
That first BuddyL is a hydraulic dump. The 1st Tonka is a`58.The next one is a`57.Tonka changed body styles a year later than Ford.Does the next one,the green Structo semi, have an opening hood with a motor inside?

Re: Blast from the past..the toys you used to play with

Man I am not joking seeing those toys my eyes watered up as I remember playing with some of those when I was a kid and what a blast I had playing in the dirt specially that dump truck and that yellow loader. I also had a cement truck, bull dozer and bigger dump truck all by tonka. I would give anything to have this toys back.

thks for sharing

Those are cool, I wish I still had the ones I used to play with. I'm only 31 but I played with some of the ones my Dad played, when I was at my Grandma's place.

Re: Blast from the past..the toys you used to play with

nice collection special k...........that red steam shovel with the low boy was my favorite.i give the neighbor kid a bloody nose over that one.i found it parked over at is house under the tree.back in the early sixties you didn't mess with another guy's tonka's without asking i think they even had rubber tracks for it.but, they never lasted.i bet their hard to find.
70cstjr....nice group.i had that green flat bed and white horse trailer.i think they sold as a set.there was also removable stake bed fencing for the flat bed it's amazing how you can go 40 year's without seeing one.then, remember it like it was yesterday.

Great collections. I just picked up all my old hot wheels from my parents house. A couple hundred total and a bunch of 1/43(ish) scale trucks & cars. I was going to give them to my son, but there are a few I'm gonna keep. Also in the box was a 73-75 Blazer Tonka sized truck. The tops missing and it has some surface rust, but it's not too bad.

Dang! I only have a few hundred.

Many a busted nose over messing with a feller`s Tonka back then, huh? You toucha my lowboy,I toucha you face!

I like the pumper truck. All mine got painted, bumpers stripped, decals removed, and basically put to the stress test.My favorite was to oil up the wheels and ride it down the big hill.

Before you pass along the hotwheels, check to see that none of them are hundred or thousand dollar cars!! Lots of the early ones are worth bank especially rare colors, PINK especially, now I know no self respecting man child played with a pink hotwheels, but they are worth bank!
