68 camaro vs. 06 GTO hybrid
here is what I are working on, its a 68 camaro getting the drive train, and all the creature comforts of the 06 GTO.... The owner wanted a fun to drive nice cruiser, that is comfortable, and able to roll with the power tour....
here are some pics of the front subframe, wilwood brakes, and the new drive train..... the subframe is a martz, thats been powdercoated... the eng/trans is a LS2 (stroked, 408)/ t56 combo...

the GTO oil pan had to go, and we switched it to the f-body oil pan.... while in there, i checked out the bottom end on the 408 stroker motor...all looked good...so the engine and trans got painted/cleared

once everything was painted/cleared it was time to set it in the subframe.....once i had it mounted in the subframe, i set the drive line angle to 3.5*, so i could make a trans crossmember to maintain that angle...

and here is the sweet custom trans crossmember, its was inspired by the old 'woodies' wagons

or not.....the trans crossmember is made of 1x2 tubing, to match the motor stands already welded on the frame...i also made it so the exhaust can pass through....here is some pics of it, then it was blasted, painted, and installed

and finally the car arrived, i gota jump start on the subframe, and engine trans... but now the fun will begin, the car came to me with the firewall smoothed, and the front clip just, temp bolted together....so i started the complete tear down of the car

Cool project, those wheels don't do it for me though. What are the plans, color change, wheels, etc?
