stock replacement cams

I was looking through the speed pro listings. they show the exact same cam for a 72, a 79, and a 92 350 SBC. part # consolidation is my guess.

the reason I ask is I want to change mine to something a little tamer. I have a .030 over 350 with 4valve relief flat tops, stock 1992 TBI truck heads, stock 1972 intake w/ Qjet calibrated to 1972 specs, TH350 non/lockup tranny, 3.08 gears in a 1/2T 2wd. I plan to in the near future swap in TBI injection.

anyone have specs on the CS274?

Re: stock replacement cams

Is there a reason you want a 'stock' cam? if you're planning on installing TBI in the future, you need to take that into consideration. I would suggest upgrading to an aftermarket EFI friendly cam. The aftermarket cam will likely give you more bang for your buck since they are of a more modern design than most 'stock' cams. If your block is of the newer design that is roller cam capable, going with a roller cam would be a wise choice with today's oils. A call to a cam mfg. tech line will help you select a grind that is best suited to your application.
