 [url=https://flic.kr/p/2insGdy]20200131_141700Front hub is disassembled. light rust removed, gave it a couple coats of grease and bees wax, the one you buy at the hardware store (toilet seal ring) I don't want to take it to far apart, but I don't want it to rust much more, so I use a coating of wax and grease PO was in here before me, screwed up the bearing races slightly

Nothing worst then cross threading these retaining nuts As you can see, the PO didn't have the proper tool, so he just used a punch, damaging the outer locking nut Not shone, a plate that sits on the bearing, supports the spring for the locking hub

after thought, I think I read somewhere maybe Special K, that you should only use a light oil on this step of the reassembly, as grease is to heavy and sticky to allow proper function of the lock out

Attempting to bench bleed my M/C, bought some metal pre flared tubing from NAPA (7/16 and !/2") just bent by hand to circle back into m/c chambers
never tried this method before, so we'll see how it goes. Videos on line show it just leaking out of the ports. as long as the tubes are below the fluid level in the chambers I think this will work still have to build a bracket to keep the plunger from moving  [url=https://flic.kr/p/2ixAC1R]20200225_112606

Now onto the bleeders Thinking of supporting the safety pin on the prop valve, so it doesn't slide open, but can't think of a way yet Forgot to mention that I pushed on the pedal when the recirculating pipes were in place, seemed to get the air out This old coating from eastwood seems to be impervious from brake fluid

Zero setting was off by 4 inches of vacuum, fitting were a bit large to seal on the bleeder. I worked around them Pumped it up to 25 inches, opened up the bleeder, and sucked fluid into the container. CAREFUL, the back chamber on the M/C is very small. On first pull, you can empty it quickly, after that you can fill up the cannister 1/2 way, before the chamber needs fluid I bleed it down till I have about 10 inches then shut off bleeder Great method for a one man bleeder
