Been following your swap for a while and it looks great! Where did you pick up your motor and tranny? I want to go with an AOD, but figured whoever you got yours from probably offered that as well. Looking forward to seeing more of your build, take care,

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Hello again, work along with many other things have taken me away from my build for some time now. Looks like I will be back on this thing after X-Mas.

Things are good, I'm self employed an thankfully very busy which is a blessing I know, just makes my projects suffer. Anyway here we go again,

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Blew the shop out several times, still has dust everywhere. Texas is in the 2nd year of a severe drought and the sand storms have been horrible for 2 years.

This is a picture taken from a plane above Lubbock during one of our many sand storms. Needless to say the airport was closed.

I think I like the shifter in the middle position better. Photo is 2nd gear.

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Got the brake and clutch test fitted. I sure wish the clutch pedal was closer to the hydraulic mechanism, about a 3 1/2" offset.

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

It's good to see you back on your truck.

The hydraulic clutch conversion that I make, uses a 2.250" standoff on the clutch pedal arm for the linkage to the clutch master. This is needed to allow for the larger OEM style brake boosters. With that tiny booster you have, you should be able to move the clutch master a good bit closer.
