More Big Block stuff

Got some more stuff from my big block I'm selling to fund the crate motor:

- Big Block Clutch fan (fan only) SOLD
- Big Block engine stands. These were blasted, primed and panited: SOLD
- Core 402 block (no shipping!): $200 local pick up only.

I'll post pics later, pulling the 402 out sunday morning.

Sorry, I just have the stands. I used SBC mounts and a bolt with a big washer.

Yea but was selling with the engine. If it doesn't sell in a few days (I have a couple people interested) I'll let you know.

Re: More Big Block stuff

What are doing with the rest of the motor? Or by "core block" do you mean the longblock?

Thanks,
Mark

Yea I meant the engine is best used as a core, It's a long block at the moment. I have a guy who wants just the heads, what parts are you interested in? I need to make room for the new engine in the garage.

Re: More Big Block stuff

I might be interested in the entire longblock. Did it run when you pulled it or did it have a failure?

It ran, but it developed a pretty hefty rod knock. I have torn it down, and haven't been able to find the exact problem yet. Might be pretty expensive to ship it that far though.

Re: More Big Block stuff

I have one here that has an internal problem as well, but I have not had time to tear it down. I am hoping to be able to do that in the next couple days. If I find mine has a major issue, I would be interested in the shortblock at least. I will get this one torn down and let you know.

Re: More Big Block stuff

Well, mine is toast, ruined the crank and cracked the block. Do you still have the shortblock? If so, how much do you want for it?

Thanks
Mark

Re: More Big Block stuff

I know this is an old thread, but do you still have the head bolts? I have one that stretched on me when I torqued it. All the others torqued ok. I don't really want to buy an aftermarket set only to use one bolt.

Thanks,
Mark
