ACC Carpet not fitting.

I am having an issue with my ACC carpet kit not fitting. The problem is the carpet is not long enough in the rear to fit under the carpet strip. I had no issues with the front fitting. I have contacted ACC and hopefully they can help with this as I have had the carpet in the box for a little over a year and just got around to install it. The only way to get the carpet back far enough is to pull it back and expose the rear of the wheel well and pull the carpet up the front of the wheel well. My truck is a CST and will be getting the side panels. Anyone else have this issue? I already see one member who had the same problems in the link below. Maybe someone can measure their carpet directly behind the wheel well. I have roughly 15 1/2 inches.

Re: ACC Carpet not fitting.

As you can see in the top/bottom left picture if I pull the carpet back it creates a large gap and rides the carpet up the front of the wheel well as shown in the right top picture.

Re: ACC Carpet not fitting.

Not trying to be a wise guy, but did you try turning the carpet around 180 degrees to see if it fits that way? I have ACC carpet in my Blazer and it fits well. ACC should help you out. But it was a while since you purchased it. Hopefully you still have the invoice.

Re: ACC Carpet not fitting.

Yeah, I tried that and same problem, but reverse with up front not being long enough. The good news is I spoke with the person listed below. She asked me to measure the length of the whole rear piece and I came up with 78". Apparently it is supposed to be 81" in length. They are sending me another rear free of charge. I'm really happy they stood behind their product even after the warranty. Stand up company.

This is very good news. However, measuring the entire length of back isn't really the issue as they provide you with extra up front. It's the distance between the back of fender wall to back of truck that is short. Mine measures 16.5 and it should be about 18. Either way, hoping your new one fits better. I am going to call her tomorrow.

Re: ACC Carpet not fitting.

Jamie,
I've done the same thing. Ordered new carpet from ACC back last June and I'm just now a couple of weeks from putting it in. Now I'm worried. Let us know how your new set fits.

Re: ACC Carpet not fitting.

You have a year warranty so I would get it out and do some measuring. You should have about 18inches behind the rear wheel well to get under the carpet strip. She said it was possible it slipped when they were making mine. I emailed her yesterday and told her moly problem wasn't the total length but the rear not being long enough. She said she relayed it to the guy making it.

Re: ACC Carpet not fitting.

Update - I ordered mine through Stock Interiors and as mentioned the back didn't fit properly. I sent them pics and they were very apologetic and are sending me out a new back piece asap, free of shipping. Excellent customer service.

I've heard they are pretty good. Hopefully the new one fits right.

That looks really good - any pix of the whole rear carpet now that it fits correctly you can share?

Re: ACC Carpet not fitting.

I could see this be a problem for those not running side panels. I better dig mine out and check it.

Re: ACC Carpet not fitting.

I can get a pic when I get it all in. They make a different carpet if you don't run side panels. I plan to put mine back in so I went with the cst version.
