After weeks of wiring, plumbing, fabricating and modifying....it runs! Fired it up about a week ago to make sure i had everything installed correctly. Then spent the last week getting it drive-able.
Finished the exhaust, had the drive shaft cut down and made a shift lever. I'm sure i looked like an idiot going up and down the street without a windshield and hood but i couldn't resist. I wanted to start shaking it down to identify any issues. Brakes and clutch work great, carb and timing still need some fine tuning. Even though it ran like sh!t, its always awesome to drive something for the first time after spending so many hours working on it |

Picked up a new windshield at LMC (its nice to have them just down the street) and had a few friends give me a hand installing it. It was a nightmare and doesn't fit like it should. I think the problem is with the rubber, not the glass. bunched up in the lower corners and is too tight around the top corners. Running it like it is for now but ill probably replace it in the future.
I also installed 2-1/2" drop spindles and 3" drop springs up front. Removed the original bump stops and replaced them with aftermarket. New tires (235/75/15) all the way around and she was ready to hit the road. |
