1998 chevy S10 needs help with trim

Hi all, I am new to your forums which I found when researching my problem with "Blanca", my '98 Chevy S10 (she was a Mother's Day gift from my boys back in '98) She has been truly reliable and gets me to my arts and crafts venues (I am an artist) and home again without fail.

Now she needs some help. The soft sided trim on both sides is coming unglued and I would like to know what product and what to do to fix her. I am a devoted Chevy girl (lifelong) and don't want to see her looking ugly. She and I would most appreciate any help or resource or for re gluing the trim. I tried Goop which I use for my art but it only worked for one year and now the peeling off is worse than before. Thanks!!!

I might suggest that you peel the trim off completely and buy some automotive double sided 3M tape and clean both surfaces very good then wipe them both down with rubbing alcohol and apply the tape so that you can stick the trim back on. I've used this tape on applying my weather visors (the deflectors that go on the windows so you can crack the windows in the rain and no rain will enter the vehicle) and it has worked great.

Thanks Rimshot for the quick reply. While I was out and about today I picked up some 3M Plastic and Emblem Adhesive which I was assured would work by someone supposedly "in the know." Gonna try it first and see what happens. Appreciate your help!!!
