Castro Family project

This started out as a 1970 suburban 2wd we converted it to a 4x4. This was just a few pics from the tear down.

Very nice! That has to be an awesome view from the drivers seat looking over the cowl hood.

How did you convert it to 4WD? Frame swap?

Used a truck frame and welded the tails from the original frame

Years ago when repainting my 70 I cut off the frame ends to install a step style bumper only to find out that it wouldn't work with the tailgate! I'll have to weld on the rear section from the 2WD truck when I swap bodies.
