Question Tie rod boots

On the way home from LSRU in Austin I noticed a strange squeak in my front suspension. When I got home and got it in the air I found both outer tie rod boots were torn. How does that happen? I rebuilt the front end about 2 years ago and probably don't have 10-15k since then. I didn't use the highest quality parts so i'm wondering if it is just cheap stuff or is there another cause. Thanks for any input.

Re: Tie rod boots

You can buy just the boots from Energy Suspension,... unless you plan on changing out the tie rods again.

Re: Tie rod boots

Thanks for the suggestion, I ordered them last night from Summit. I'm just trying to figure out the cause. Or maybe it's my fault for buying cheap parts to begin with.

Re: Tie rod boots

Chinese rubber products maybe?
I would inspect your tie rods closely when you replace the boots.
