Chassis id location ? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Can someone please tell me where I can find the chassis identification number on the chassis. I have it from the registration papers but it needs to be visually sighted before I can get it registered here in Australia.

Look on the frame above and beside the steering box.
