Post Fast...Any luck on the Panhard bar?

Just checking in to see if you've found anything. I still have some cleaning, prep, and brake work before I mount it, but at least it's underway. Don't mean to pester you...just thought I'd touch base. Thanks Bud.

Has anyone ever installed an adjustable pan-hard bar?
I see LMC sells them for fairly cheap and was wondering if they are more effective in keeping your truck from tracking than a regular track bar.
I know that before my half ton came off the road I noticed it was not tracking straight. After re-doing the front end, dropping it 2/4 I want to make sure I can get it headed straight down the road. Anyone have any thoughts.
BTW the manual refers to them as a tie rod, but people always look at you like your a tool if you call one that.

The Panhard bar is not for allignment pourposes...it is actually to center the rear end. If you were to take it off, or brake it, (like mine was when I bought it) then the whols back of the truck would 'float' from side to side. The coils and the trailing arms offer little to no side to side stability.
When you lower the rear, you want to shorten the bar to keep the rear centered.

I found it interesting when lowering my '67 C-10 using ECE 4" lowering springs that the original panhard bar ends up nearly horizontal which keeps the frame almost exactly centered. I'm still in the building process so hope when road-able it will still be about right.

the truck will dogtrack if you excessively lower or raisre the suspension, IE length of springs, if the bar is perfectly horizontal, then i cant see how the rear end will be aligned with the front

i dont know if i can find one of the bars here or not, not having any luck with anytihng latley, bad things are happening again..... plus the damn plant just laid off some employees before they even finished calling us all back, im so screwed, then a big fine for something i wont get into that i have to take care of.......
