East side low life ?

Does anyone know where his truck ended up? I don’t believe it appeared on these forums since his passing. It was about a 68 or 69 GMC longbed. Just curious is all.

Re: East side low life ?

I think it was a '69. I remember hearing a little on it at first, maybe someone saw it listed? We had a member here who was a friend of his he got to join who gave us the heads up on his passing and a little other info after, but haven't seen him here in years.

Interesting question. That was a really nice truck. Maybe it's still in his garage. Sometimes family members will keep vehicles. Even if they really aren't into them. They just cant part with them for sentimental reasons.

Re: East side low life ?

I heard it got sold to a young guy on the mainland.
Up Prince George way.
That’s north central British Columbia for those who don’t know.
BTW I never met him.
Looked at his truck closely when it was for sale but didn’t have a spare 20 grand at the time.

Re: East side low life ?

I remember the truck being satin black and looooow. 396 I believe it was. I may have another pic of the truck at that same location. I always liked how it sat, low with a rake and wide rubber all 'round.
Maybe someone will update us on the whereabouts and status of the truck.

Re: East side low life ?

I normally look at satin black and think "meh" but for some reason, I love that truck, paint, altitude, and wheel combo.

Re: East side low life ?

I found a few more. I'm not a long bed kind of guy but I really like his truck and John was a cool gear head too.

Re: East side low life ?

His name was John Zador. The truck is a no BS give it the hot rod touches and drive (stripped and smooth, stance, wheels & tires, big motor, roll & pleat seat, leave a little chrome to be set off by the satin black. He wasn't trying to create the ultimate truck or follow the latest trends. Just something cool to enjoy. John as a good contributor. He communicated a lot, with help, through PM as well as in threads.

I saw it in some pics from the PG Father’s Day car show a couple years ago.

Maybe your nephew can look for it on Sunday at this years show.

IIRC the truck ran a built 327.
