1970 Adjusting Sleeve HELP !!

Talked to LMC and Classic and no one sells the rod that connects the outer tie rods. They have them for 73/up and 68/down. Looks like I'm SOL..
I have a 1970 K5 that I'm getting my restore back on. I still have the original sleeve but it is in pretty bad shape. Any help on how I might get one would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 1970 Adjusting Sleeve HELP !!

autozone shows the same sleeve for 70 k5 4wd as what is used on a 75 k5 4wd.

they sell the sleeves for $6.99 each (item# ES362S) and will ship to your house. good luck!

Re: 1970 Adjusting Sleeve HELP !!

The one on Autozone looks a little short....After removing the clamps, the rust dirt & grime, I saw that the ball joints are threaded into the sleeve. I will soak in WD40 overnight and try to remove in AM. The old one does'nt look so bad now that I can't easily find a replacement. Hopefully the come out easy & if the threads look good its headed out to be blasted & powder coated.

Re: 1970 Adjusting Sleeve HELP !!

Deep C. thats right they just thread in on the ends one side is left hand and the other is right hand. Mine is bent from last time off roading. It caused my stabilizer to leak out. I havent taken the time to shop around for a replacement. Just another item on the list. The one that autozone shows looks like a 2wd tie rod. 396ci Ill measure and let you know what size.
