oil pressure

I have an oil pressure gauge but I have no idea what the proper oil pressure should be around. I have a small block 350.

Re: oil pressure

There are lots of variables with those engines, but usually anything over 25psi I would consider safe. I've seen some older 350s idle at around 5-10psi with no problem, though I feel that's pretty low.

Re: oil pressure

Thanks. Is there a pressure that would seem to high?

Re: oil pressure

From what I've read, anywhere between 30 and 80 psi will be good
