Re: My Porterbuilt Experience...

Talk about a holy thread revival!

It's been 5 months since my last log in????!!! Man, I didn't realize how long I haven't been on!

To all those that left me PM's and comments, my apologies if I haven't replied. Just wanted to update the thread with a recent pic of Ruby at a recent car show in Hawaii.

Surprisingly, she took home the award for the best domestic on her first show out!

Anyway, more pics to come now that she's out and about once again! Here's one of the coolest shots from the show taken by Jeff Magno~

Re: My Porterbuilt Experience...

Hey man, did you notch your bed wood for the rear end to clear? Did you use the rubber bed pads or any shims to raise the bed a little to clear the frame rivets?

No, i didn't have to shave the bed floor or raise the bed. the pic is at at max aired out and is sitting on the bumpstops in the c-notch.

Sorry for the delay in replying. Been off the site for a while.

My wheels are 22.5F/22x10R with 4.5f/5.25r BS

Hope that helps!

Thanks so much for the compliment! I'm running the PB stage1/2 kit that requires no bed cutting. I'll have more pics up soon!

Re: My Porterbuilt Experience...

Mac, what's the clearance like inside your tubs? I am doing same pbfab suspension and wanted to do wider stock fenders but I think I'm going to rub on the top of the tub. 22 ×12.

Not sure if you're referring to the front or rear but either way, 12's will be a tight fit. You might want to check out http://chubtubz.com/ for the rear bed tubs and http://www.sloshtubz.net/products to see if they have something that might work for you.

Re: My Porterbuilt Experience...

Wow I made it all the way to page 5 and just realized you were in Hawaii also. Didn't even notice the 808 in your name.
Awesome write up. Finishing up with a LS conversion in my '69 and looking to do an air ride setup after. Giving me a lot of inspiration. Thanks
