LS/4l60e in 60-62

Just wondering how most people do this swap in the 60-62 trucks. There is a lot more info on the 64-66 models. Anybody know if the stock ls truck oil pans clear? What headers or manifolds and motor mounts work best? I am hoping to do this with a 73-87 crossmember in a 60 frame. Thanks!

Re: LS/4l60e in 60-62

I have a 62 with an 84 crossmember, with a 6.0. The stock oil pan fits. Does stick down below the crossmember an inch or so. I am using stock camaro manifolds. They clear but did need to trim just a bit where it bolts to exhaust. Mostly on passenger side if I recall correctly.

I used dirty dingo mounts: https://www.dirtydingo.com/shop/index.php?cPath=392_401.

I modified the stock 84 mount pillars to fit the shorter 62 frame.

I have a 4l80e. I built a crossmember once I knew where it needed to be. I intend to use a newer steering box I have (mid 80s). Have not gotten that far yet.
