Four speed shift knobs?

Does anyone make or can I get from another model a black four speed style knob without any of the markings on it. Black knob exactly like ours with the little ribs ... no numbers on the ball.

There were transfer case knobs with no pattern on the '70 4wds with the shifter bent toward the driver. I saw the title and my mind went directly to my special little 4spd knob I might use on my '67 project with M22. It has the car 4spd pattern I need and is the same as the knobs you are talking about. It's from a Corvair Rampside with 4spd. Those were Muncies. I might make a shifter for the M22 by modifying a truck 4spdor transfer case shifter so it looks like it "could" be factory. Just one option at this point.

The knob off a T-221 is close to what you are looking for. ribbed edge no numbers, ? is are the threads the same, I am not 100% sure. Happy New Year, Bruce

I have a Lokar shifter for a turbo 400. And I thought a stock style knob might be kind of cool. I have a customer that laser engraves and he told me he could probably laser engrave the 400 shift pattern on a blank knob. That's why I would want an exact style knob but blank pattern.

Here is the one I used. Five bucks. I got mine local at a truck stop for a couple bucks.

I used it for my transfer and had it engraved at things remembered for the 205 pattern.

Thanks, I need to take a better pic. Once I figured out how to fill in the engraving with white paint it looks real nice. It's one of those things that's in my face every time I climb into the cab, so I've been enjoying it.

But... It cost me twenty bucks for the engraving!... ouch!!!!!

I've tightened some threaded rod into a regular white 4spd knob, chucked it into a drill and used sand paper to erase the pattern and polished it back out with finer grits and finally polish.
The white ball looked new clean, nick free and sweet.

I don't see why one couldn't do this with a granny 4 spd knob without hitting the knurled part

I used number stamps, some gun stock checkering tools , a fine point sharpie and tape for guide lines stamped and sketched it in.The number stamps only provided a guide for the font for engraving the numbers..

then touched it up with a dremeled and painted in a new 5 spd pattern.

Too bad I munched that weak little t50 the first time I abused it....lesson learned.
