Help with some RPO codes please...

I have managed to find all but the 5 circled. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.

they are terrible when it comes to GM parts, but they should still have numbers they can look up?

Re: Help with some RPO codes please...

After a quick google search I found this:

YET is 225/75/15 rear tires
ZET is 225/75/15 spare tire
1SA is Option package 01 what that entails is anybody's guess.

6WK and 7WK are Computer selected Suspension LH and RH respectively. I would guess that the factory groups the suspension parts by size or rate and tries to match the components (kinda like piston weights for high performance engines).

Keith Seymour should have the definitive answer over on the square body forum.

This is correct.

That means XET is 225/75 15 front tires. They are divided up that way in case somebody wanted to get street tires on the front, snow tires on the rear and a different spare.

Generic Info packet from the GM Heritage Center archive is attached. 1SA is the "quick spec" in the dealer order guide. The info packet doesn't call it out the same way but since it is a Work Truck you have a pretty good idea of the content anyway.

Re: Help with some RPO codes please...

I wonder if Chevrolet & my GMC share the same codes? They only show a Silverado.

Thanks for tapping in Keith.

I noticed that there were a large number of suspension RPOs, all LH or RH. Is my supposition correct or even close to the case?

Or is it just covering Berettas on up to K3500 springs?

Yes. A GMC was a Chevy with RPO Z88.

They went down the same assembly line. Sometimes they were a Chevy on one side and a GMC on the other.

No - you were exactly correct. The buyer chooses a model (and/or GVW) and the computer picks the right springs based on the engineering release tables.

Re: Help with some RPO codes please...

Interesting..... about springs..... My factory leaf springs ( C2500 / 7200 )

..... The left spring was built differently from the right side leaf.

The dealer could not explain it.

I think it has to do with axle torque. Sometimes the vehicle would "shudder" on takeoff when the springs are equal. Another reason why the shocks were staggered too.
