Not starting due to turn signal stick...?

So here's what happened: I was driving along happily when I wanted to open my vent window. Somehow I managed to catch my sleeve on my turn signal stick, which came loose and caused my horn to start blaring. after fiddling with it, the horn went silent and I proceeded without having a turn signal.
came home, shut down the car and the next day nothing. I turned the key, no responds. seeing it's already quite cold here I though it was the battery, so after 20 minutes with starter cables attached to my Audi diesel still nothing.
now I have a new 85Ah battery and stil nothing.

now for the dumb question, I guess it can be only i of 2 things, either the starter relay, of the starter fuse right?. I have an universal ezwire set, installed 4 years ago and threw away the papers.
I guess the big silver relay on the left is the starter one? seeing it says turn on the other? and I can't locate the starter fuse, is that the black box the the upper right of the fusebox?


so I put the turn signal arm back in, but that didn't change a thing.

Start by checking all the fuses like the horn fuse.
Then check the two small fuses out by the battery. The horn may have blown the 4 amp fuses that are over by the battery. Check for power with a test light at the junction box on the passenger side fender near battery. There is a fuseable link between the battery and junction block it may have blown also.

this is an EZwire 12 set, so none of the original wiring was re-used. I don't have fuses near my battery nor do I have a junction box at the passenger side.

I remember that there was a wire called fuseable link, but for the live of me I can't remember from where to where it runs, nor where it would 'break'.
guess I'll have to go through all my wiring, which is a sh*t job, because I neatly wrapped all wiring in shrink wrap.

Well you have to have power coming into the fuse box before it can go out. I would start by checking the main wires coming to the fuses.
Where is your horn relay and look at it. Something had to blow are the horn would have kept right on blowing.

Solved the issue by putting in a by-pass to the starter relay.
I have a starter button now, which is temporary. have to figure out which wire from the ignition is the old fuseable link.
