This time its steering and allignment. Reciently as I drive straight I have noticed my wheel is at about 11 o clock. Tirepressure is fine, and I do not understand allignemnt and how it relates to my steering wheel. I remember from my old 81 Tbird, I had the same problem, and when they alligned it etc... they told me the car lined up fine and live with the wheel being off center. Is this true? should I go to a mechanic or are there things I can check for myself? Also how much should I expect if I take it to a shop, should the wheel be @ 12 when going straight down the road after they are done?

A "good" shop will center the wheel while doing the fix. (done by adjusting the tie rod ends)

Part of doing an alignment is securing the steering wheel straight ahead and changing the length of the tie rods to adjust the toe AND still keep the wheel centered. Only a hack would tell someone to live with it being crooked.
