Man, that looks sweet! Do you want to paint a 40 Ford when you're done with yours?

Looking good I would think that the last photo with trim would be a great motivator.

Re: 1967 Chevelle

I'm finally finished with all of the color sanding and polishing. I shot Lizard Skin heat control and sound deadener in the trunk. Then I went ahead and put the decklid on.

Very nice! Sorry, I can't help you with getting the pics to be bigger. I just upload them to the site anymore and the site has 1 size preset I believe.

Thanks! It's no big deal, I was just wondering how others are doing it. I've been called a lot of things in my life, but computer savy isn't one of them

Not much to report on the Chevelle for this week. I tried to hang the doors and realized that the aftermarket hinges I bought are total garbage. So, I'm waiting on the parts to rebuild the original hinges to show up. (What I should have done to begin with) You would think by now I would know better than to think ANY aftermarket piece of any kind would fit properly. But like I always say, the REAL definition of insanity is to keep buying aftermarket parts, and keep hoping that someday one of them will be manufactured correctly.

Thank you! We'll have to do that. I'd love to see a picture of your 67. What are you going to put in it to replace the 540?

Yeah, I'm a member of that site. I just don't post there too much. I'm planning on posting my build over there sometime though. Thanks for the tip on switching to classic view, makes it easier to navigate. That's always been one reason why I don't post too much.

Re: 1967 Chevelle

Haven't updated this thread in a while. Mostly because there wasn't much to post. I've been busy with some other projects, but I'm trying to get back on track. All the door guts, side glass, and weatherstripping is in. I'm getting started on the front suspension and brakes, so hopefully there will be some more to update in the next few weeks.

Re: 1967 Chevelle

I finally finished up installing the front suspension, brakes, and swaybar. I was going to move on to installing the 9" and rear suspension, but I've ran into a pretty big snag. The lower coilover bracket that comes in the Ridetech kit doesn't come close to fitting the bracket that Quick Performance welds on their rear ends. So after talking to both companies a few different times, I'm just going to have to fabricate my own bracket. Ridetech makes a bracket that works with a Moser style bracket, which is fairly close to the QP bracket. So I'm waiting on those brackets to show up. Hopefully they will just require some miner modification to make them work, as opposed to starting from scratch. We'll see.
So while I'm waiting on those, my plan now is to bolt up the inner and outer fenders, hopefully for the last time. I still need to build the front brake lines, but I was afraid to do it without the front sheet metal in place to see where they needed ran. I got the drivers side on without scratching anything progress pics...

Re: 1967 Chevelle

A little progress to report, I got the rear coilover brackets figured out and fabbed up. The passenger side inner/outer fenders are hung. I also ordered a front and rear tire to measure for wheels once I get the rearend in. The tires are Nitto 555 g2 in 295/40/18 rear, 245/40/18 on the front. I was a bit worried the 245'same would look too narrow on the front. But after mocking them up in the wheel wells, I think they look fine. Here's a few pictures of the tires loosely mocked up. Hope to be renting a wheel fitment tool, and getting wheels ordered within the next week or two.

I thought the same thing, it gives you the impression it has black wheels when you look at it. I've never been a black wheel person, but I don't think they would look too bad against this bright red.
