Well I just put new tires on the CC

I had to replace the crappy General tires my 06 GMC CC came with after only 20101 miles on them. I went with the Yokohama geolanders and the difference is night and day. I just hope they last the 60000 that their rated at. Anyone else have similar problems with the factory tires?

Re: Well I just put new tires on the CC

My dad had General's on his 2002. JUNK. They had this feeling of being totally disconnected from the road, like the truck could go in any direction at any moment. It was almost like there was zero road feel. Of course they had decent traction and handled alright, but the feel was just plain scary.

He got Michelin LTX's and they are way better. Better traction, and MUCH improved road feel. Feels much more confident.

Well so far the yokos are a great all around tire. I love the way the truck handles now in both wet and dry road conditions. If they last for a good while I might even put another set on

I should feel good then. I was able to get 45,000 out of mine. I'm in the market for new tires also.

Re: Well I just put new tires on the CC

We got 26,000 on our stock bridgestones on our CC Duramax, put Toyo Open Country A/t's on and they are ok, but i like the nittos on my tahoe better, they are going on at the next change, bigger size, the toyos clog up easily and we got stuck yesterday, sucked, had to walk a mile to get the tractor and a chain. They are a good all purpose tire, handle well, not good for any decent amount of off-roading in stock size on stock rims, IMO
