Is there a 73-87 thread on wheels?

Is there a thread about wheel sizes and backspacing for the 73-87s? All I've found are 67-72.
Just wondering how 18" x 8" with 5" backspacing will work on the front. Will there be clearance issues on the a-arms at full lock? I believe that 8" rally wheels have 4" of bs, so going to a 18 x 8 with 5" of bs should just pull the wheel in from the fender an inch. Tire I'm looking at will be 255/50R18.
I figure a 18" x 9.5" or 10" will work fine on the back with 5" bs. Looking at 295/45R18.

Re: Is there a 73-87 thread on wheels?

There's been a few threads here and there that have some discussion on backspacing. Here's one such thread : http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=178380.

I don't know what type of drop you have (or after), but I think your bs specs sound good. A 5" bs on 18x8s on the front should work, But I'm not sure on any A-arm rubbing. And, a 5" bs on the rear with 18x10s should also work.

You can argue with me but you can't argue with figures. Two half nothings is a whole nuthin...
