Front shocks

Installed some qa1 shocks on my truck but only have approximately one inch of travel on the shock shaft, think the shocks might be to long? Know that the wheel travel is almost double that of the shock shaft just don't think that's enough, any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes, 2" drop in front and 4" drop in back. Thanks for the response.

Re: Front shocks

Are the shock for a lowered or stock height. That could be your issue with the lack of shock travel.

Re: Front shocks

Ideally, you want about a 60/40 mix of compression and rebound travel at ride height. Shoot me over a measurement (at ride height) from the center of the top mount to the center of the bottom mount and I can tell you what stroke you need.
Keep in mind, if you don't have enough compression and rebound travel, you take a chance on bottoming out or topping out the shock. If you do that too much, the shock will literally beat itself to pieces.

You would need a 3.85" stroke shock for that length. How long have you had the QA1s?
