Re: My new fireplace

Rut Ro.

She just brought me a bowl of something that looks really rich.

I said "What's this".

She said "Better than sex pumpkin cake".

At my age, I'll just keep my mouth shut and eat the cake.

That is nice. Don't let my wife see it or she'll put me to work. And we can't have that.

Don't forget about the hot chocolate and Better Than Sex Cake you will get later.

I got cake. Humph. 20 years ago I would have expected more than cake.

I did my whole drive and side walk at the beach house several years ago when we moved the trailer. I had taken the whole week off. Good thing I did to. I like you was sore the rest of it.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

My wife traded for the house a few years ago. She let me have a room in the basement in exchange for maintaining the grounds.

Re: My new fireplace

We used to burn trash in a barrel.....it was actually extremely common when I was growing up, most everyone in the neighborhood burned their trash in a barrel, I never remember a trash truck coming.

wow...that looks great.
That will get a good workout through the year...particularly once spring and summer hits.
You'll probably have to expand it...lol

Re: My new fireplace

I added in the "Arkansas" part of burn barrel, but those are common all over. If I wanted to take a jab at Arkansas I would have called it an Arkansas BBQ (like Larry had...DOH!).

My neighbors burn trash in their masonry grille out back. It makes a toxic cloud of burned styrofoam and plastic I could live without. I wish they'd hire a trash service. That's one convenience I think is a necessity.

That looks like it will be a nice spot to hang out. I wanted to build a BBQ into the stone terrace walls in my back yard when I built them. I decide to just get it done and maybe go back and do a grille later. Now the wall is lined with an offset smoker grille and one big/one small Weber. I'll let the next guy worry about a grille

Re: My new fireplace

I have one of those Arkansas burn barrels too. I have trash pickup so it isn’t used often. I use it to collect tree limbs and burn when i accumulate enough personal paper documents i don’t want to send out in the trash. 2 things get accomplished with it.

Re: My new fireplace

I have unlimited, a huge rolling can, and trucks have a lift. So I have loaded out a ho lotta construction debris "curbside style". But I like to burn off scrap lumber when I have a lot to filter out and not enough for a landfill run. It's an excuse to drink a beer around the fire

Re: My new fireplace

When I first fired it up, I had about a 6x12 piece of plastic packaging, so when I got the fire burning, I threw it in.

I ain't gonna' be doin' that agin'.

I had to leave the back yard.

Once I threw a 8 foot piece of corigated fiber glass on top of a burning brush fire out back on my property and when it burned it lifted into the air floating in ashes ,,but still in the same shape as if it were not burned up,, neatest thing I ever seen from burning my left over remodeling trash ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and it did make a lot of smoke ,,like you did with the plastic

Did the plastic stick to the stones and now you have to scrape it off?
