Lightbulb Removing all wires possible

Making a "race car" c10 but will have lights and some weight. I was curious as to what the ecu controls, was thinking of removing it and making everything mechanical. To make it short just want to know what the ecu controls I have a 87 r30 with a 350 SBC and a th350 tranny I think I'm not 100 percent on the tranny

Carb swap it and you can run it on like 4 wires
