55-59 disc brake conversion brake lines

Hey guys I’m working on my 56 Chevy truck and I bought a dual master cylinder and a brake line conversion kit from brothers. It didn’t come with instructions and I can find a diagram anywhere on how to run the brake lines. The booster is on the frame. Does anyone have a diagram or any posts on how they ran the brake line kit? Thank you very much

Is there a benefit of running a dual master cylinder without the brake booster like they did on that truck?

Simplicity of installation? Room underfloor for other components such as exhaust? A nod to originality? Lots of guys want to keep things original as possible, but they are willing to compromise on some modern safety equipment like dual MCs. Even Concours judging won't ding you points for safety items like seat belts, 3rd brake lights, etc.

Re: 55-59 disc brake conversion brake lines

you will want to ensure you get a master that is for non power brakes. the power brake masters can sometimes have a larger piston in them because you don't notice the extra amount of push required to move the extra fluid when you have the booster to help you out.
if you are simply wanting a small opower unit under the floor check out the hydroboost units. they run off the power steering pumps and give great boost. ogre has one on his truck with pics of the unit and how he made it work. more room under the floor but still gonna have hoses etc if you're trying to look super original or have less stuff looking back at you with the hood open.
