Okay. So the new burb has been here a couple of weeks now, the most recent week spent on vacation with the family (without the burb). She's been washed, waxed, carb tuned several times, driven approximately 80 miles, and now I'm already gathering up the parts to get her where I want her with my own personal touch.

Plans:
- To lower her. Will most likely do a C-notch at the most, and may go with bags this go around, but not sure yet
- Wheels; still up for debate (just money, right?)
- Perform the '68 front nose conversion (just my personal preference as I LOVE the fronts of the 67-68 Chevy's) NOTE: My original plan was actually to convert my GMC grille trim to '68 GMC trim and '68 hood retaining my grille the way it is, however after running down and learning more about the little painted "top bar", it made more sense to go the Chevy grille route as it was actually cheaper as you'll see below.
- Change the current '72 lower trim to the '68 lower trim

I took a few additional days off of work, so I figured I'd take FULL advantage. Here's what I've managed to pick up in two days, seriously:
- Monday, I drove to Greenville, SC to pick up a factory '68 hood with the "CHEVROLET" letter holes welded, and NO RUST! The PO was redoing his truck and decided to go with a cowl hood.
- While on vacation, bought a "near" full set of factory "red" striped '68 lower trim with clips. I took delivery today, and this is going to look SOOOO awesome IMO
- Picked up a pair of re-finished/chrome '68 front bumper guards. Not sure what it is, but on the right truck, these just look killer to me
- Today, I drove to Stanley, NC to buy a used '68 grille that was part of a whole or part deal. My son and I pulled up to realize that the truck had been sitting out for some time, so pulling the grille was a task in the heat out in the field. The good news is, neither one of us was snake or spider bitten, and I walked outta there with a very nice grille, all trim pieces with some cool patina, and all the extras such as mount, latch, bumper to grille pan, '68 headlight buckets to swap to my GMC support, etc... Oh, and I paid $40!

Tonight, I got the grille cleaned up, rust to body points ground down, primed and painted, the "welcomed" patina on the trim and various edges taped up, and I painted the grille white. I cleared the hole thing once the paint had enough time to dry. My primed hood is next, but I've got to try to match my paint first. I'm thinking about going the faux patina look on just the hood edges. Thoughts?

I'll most likely do a build thread once I get started with the suspension (assuming anyone's interested), but I'll keep notes and pictures for reference as I've seen MANY questions on the forum where GMC guys ask about 67 - 68 conversion options.
