want tall sidewalls, will these fit?

Trying to decide on wheel and tire sizes before I spend all of my money. I have decided I really like a little bit of sidewall.

I see a lot of trucks with 18" wheels using 255/55/18 front, 275/55/18 rears, which I think gives overall of just about 30" rear, w just under 6" sidewalls. I have seen pics of a trucks with 6.5" sidewalls with 15s and 17s, and I really love the look. Unfortunately, the wheels I'm looking at aren't available in 17".

Does anyone have 275/60/18 rears? 31" overall?

Also, the wheels are avail 18x7 with 4.5bs, x8 with 4.75bs, or 9 with 5.25bs, so I'm kind of perplexed by these as well.

Just wanting to know is your truck a 3/4 ton or a 1/2 ton.Depending on what your using your truck for.Looking good to having a tire that will last is what you really should be deciding.With this trade war coming Tires are going to get very expensive Looking at them low profile tires running from 400 to 600 a tire.If i was you i be wanting a tire that can go 200,000 and them are them E rated tires Michelin Rib tires in the 235-85-16.If you like spending a grip on tires and rims and then just putting used tires on your ride every 20,000 to 30,000 miles i want to live in your wallet an so will so many other people

I have 235 55 17 on front of my truck and 275 55 17 on rear. My truck is dropped 4.5”/7”. The rears would fit, but the fronts would be almost 2” taller and that’s where you might run into trouble.

I'm in a similar boat, but decided on 16x8 (Wheel Vintique) wheels.

It seems we're looking for a similar look since if I was running 18" wheels I
would seriously be looking at the 275/60-18.
Here are some #'s I've been tossing around (in an excel file):
For the record I have a stock '68 C20, planning to leave the original "HD Springs".

I am focusin on the three sizes (left column) in RED

(Note the #'s in right column are in the order of Diameter Width Sidewall)


BTW, the tiresize calculator I'm using (https://tiresize.com/calculator/) is nice since it lists available tires in the size you select, ..giving you an instant idea on how available that size is.

My first choice is the 275/70-16, but it's the most costly with fewer selections.
Second choice is 265/70-16, but I lose a bit of width and height.
Third choice, 265/75-16, the sidewall (for me anyway) is starting to get a tad taller than I'd like. (Noting this is the stock tire size that came on my '97 Dodge Ram Sport)

So..., I'm still deciding. I'm almost ready to splurge for my 1st choice (275/70-16), Michelin Defenders but overall cost is about $250 more than the others.

I have 31" front and rear on my truck with a 3/4 drop. No issues.

I am using Ridler 695's 18X8 all the way around. I bought Master Craft tires 265-60R-18 for the front and 285-60R-18 for rear. The rear tires are 31.34 tall. I only lowered the truck 2 1/2 in front and 2 in rear. I don't see any clearance problems.
