Dolphin Gauge Insert
Just got my dash insert today. I went with the Dolphin tan gauges with the stainless bezel. I'm going to sandblast the insert and hit it with satin black engine paint. I like the engine paint because once you bake it in under the heat lamps it's really durable. Since I have the 4l60e I needed to do something about the speedo and this seemed fairly easy. I plan to wire everything up and get it put together this weekend. More photos to follow.

Re: Dolphin Gauge Insert
I blasted the panel and painted it semi gloss black. I opted not to paint the bezel for now, I'll paint it white when I actually paint the truck. I removed the stock gauges from the bezel and the billet insert from dolphin went right into place. I have the gauges mounted into the inset and I'm ready to start wiring. I'm going to Monster Jam with the youngest today so I'll finish up tomorrow and get it programmed. It looks awesome so far.

Re: Dolphin Gauge Insert
That looks great let me know how easy it is to wire as that is what I have planned for my gauges as well.

Re: Dolphin Gauge Insert
The wiring looks pretty straight forward, the speedo is the newer one touch programmable. Put it in program mode, drive exactly one mile and press the button. That's it, no pace car, no dip switches, just a button. I'm going to hook all the necessary wires from the gauges to a large single plug I scavenged from a motorcycle wiring harness, then wire the other side of the plug to the truck that way my dash is one plug removable. The sending units are all standard single wire except the wires going to the speedo pickup. I'm combining the 90 ohm fuel sending unit included in the kit with my stock pickup in the tank. When I pull the bed off to install a suburban tank with the internal fuel pump, the Dolphin gas gauge will work with the later model sending unit. More pics to come.
