350 to 700r4

I want to change my 350 for a 700r4. Im 4x4 and am wondering if I swap trans will my original driveshafts still fit or do i need to lethen and shorten them. I Plan on using my 205. thanks

You will need to change them. If your putting a 700r4 in you will either need the special 205 output shaft or you can use a spacer between the trans and t-case. Either way you go the new combo will be longer than your current set up.

The 700R4 (4L60) is 3" longer than the TH350 trans. If you use the same t-case and adapter you will need to shorten the rear and lengthen the front shaft 3" each.

you can get a fits all adapter and cut a 1/4" off the 700r4 shaft

there are other threads on this do a search think u can move the motor up 1 3/4 & not cut anything
