Question is my 235 worth saving?

my 59 stepside been setting for five years i parked it becuase it fouled th plugs constantly. is it worth the effort-cash to have the heads checked out-rebuilt or try to find a donor v-8?

You might want to get a 2nd opinion on the stovebolt site. Around hear there are probably more of us with sbc conversions. I personally think they're cool either way. What are you going to be using it for? A 6 cylinder will cruise fine with the correct trans./gears. I wanted a 350 for a bit more hp. Just my .02

As long as it still spins I'd keep it if you have the room, or if your not going to use it sell it. As these cars and trucks get older some things are getting harder to find someday that motor may be "rare"(hard to find) for some one trying to restore their classic ride to stock.

a 235 will never be rare....their everywhere.

But I'd keep it and use it, inline motors are just cool.
