When I bought mine in 2006 they were BB4's but they have changed the part number to C6. The website says they fit the 502 but the 502 and 572 share the same exhaust port spacing and shape so the 502 headers will fit. Good idea to call first, though. You will need to relocate your oil filter. Once the headers are on there is no way to remove it to change the filter without removing the drivers side header. Since I mounted a Derale remote oil cooler on the drivers side of the core support the filter is just back from there.

Re: Headers for a 572...

I'll trade you your 572 for my 350 with a pair of headers. Problem solved!

Re: Headers for a 572...

Is a 572 a tall deck engine???
Just wondering, a 502 is a standard deck engine.
Hooker used to make 2-1/8" primary tube headers for these pickups.

Re: Headers for a 572...

I am running the sanders bb8, not sure how they would work on the 572 but should be close to the same fitment.

Deck height for the 502 is 9.8 inches. The 572 is 10.2 inches. They share the same cylinder head design so the only fitment issur for headers is clearance with the frame. Sanderson long tubes fit the 572 on big block frame stands and clear the frame with no problems.

GM PN 19172805 Serpentine accessory drive. When you get it on the street let me know what you think. Mine is a heart attack with 335 M&H's on the rear!! You'll have noise and smoke coming out of everywhere.
