Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!

1978 nova/apollo/omega/ventura front clip, Stock

1969 Firebird rearend , shorten coil springs about 2 inches

Not too low, still able to drive it, but low enough that the other day I pulled into a parking space and hit a walmart water bottle that was standing up right 16.9oz

Also next to a stock Ford Ranger, my hood and finders are still lower than it

You can't cut the Jeep springs because of the tapered ends?

The bumper is a stock 60-66 bumper. It actually has changed in the fact that I added Chrome Bumper Guards. I know that doesn't sound good but the factory bumper guards look the old Caddy bumper guards. I'll post an updated pic.

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!

Here is the updated pics of the Bumper Guards added to the stock bumper. I can't tell you how tough these were to get wrap around these bumpers. Save yourself time and loosen all Bumper Bolts. Each has two mounting points and you will have to tighten each slightly at a time until top and bottom come tight to the bumper. If you want this look. Little old school look and it's starting to grow on me!

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!

4.5" front / 5" rear. I used 2" springs and 2.5" drop spindles in front and 4" springs along with 1" blocks in rear. Wheels are 18"x8"s and 20"x10"s.

Sorry for the poor picture quality, I took it with my phone on a day it was trying to rain. We had just thrashed on the truck 17 straight hours to finish it after starting it five years ago.

Perfect man! That's about what I'm doing with mine. What exactly did you do? Tire size? Notch the rear?

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!

No notch in rear yet. Have about 1-2" of travel left. 2 or 3" springs up front that I cut 2 coils off of. cut the bump stop off of the lower a arm. tires are 205/70/15 on stock steelies.
