68 Stepside

OK, I know that I said that I wasn't going to mess with this truck but after driving it for awhile it became clear that if I was going to use it as a daily driver than some things were going to need updated. Here is the first step: Dana 60 rear and Dana 44 front (open knuckle, disc brakes)- both 8 lug, 4" lift with heavy duty ORD greasable shackles and main eye bushings. I am hoping that after I put the 427 in that the stance will be a little more level (that big block is a littly heavier than the 250).

I messed up my attachment, see next posts!

1ST pic, very sharp looking truck.
2nd pic AWESOME!!

You definetly made the right changes, disc brakes and a much better turning radius with the open knuckle 44 , that looks like more than 4" of lift, and those are the wheels I,ve been looking for.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the comments. When you are visuallizing things before you do them you never know for sure if it will look like you want it to. I am very happy with the way this is shaping up so far. I will post updates as I progress. Blazerman, I bought those wheels at a swapmeet for $80.00!
