That is very generous of you but I have already agreed to disburse an additional $600 to the retired GM owners group of America, you wouldnt want to take money away from charity would you?

Nice Blazer Coyote! I see you have a wide variety of terrain to play in! Is that color the original Grapefruit Yellow? Looks great!

Re: How about some pics of 69-72 Blazers and Jimmys.

Got some of my old film pics scanned:

taken in 1973, GMC pulls Ford

Spring Break 1996 after week long sand dune trip

Getting ready for my HS "Storm" convoy over to the stadium from the school.

while on route to the Storm

another shot of Dorky HS Erik, day after Storm on my way to the lake I worked at

and just for fun, this is Dad's old racetruck. 68 GMC front clip, 72 Chev cab, home made alum flatbed, half ton axles, 66 International Travelall frame bobbed at the outer shackles, Olds 455bb/3sp auto from donar car mated to divorced T-case. Truck weighs ~3200 lbs, 4.11 gears, went like crazy. Its now sitting in the bushes on Dad's property after this illfated Tuff Truck event that took out the front axle and engine.

Just noticed that the flatbed "Motorhome" with the camper part removed is visible. The rest of the 68 GMC that became the racetruck, another Olds 455, 4wd with a tag axle in the rear. Ooooh, good shots of it are also burried at my Dad's house.

Still havnt managed to liberate Dad's photo boxes for more old school pics. Theres a great shot of the getaway from my parents' wedding with the Jimmy too. Maybe this weekend or next, rumor has it that Dad's got the shed half cleaned out, so maybe soon I'll have a GM besides the work van in my driveway.

Enjoy.

Erik

Both look pretty awesome, compliment each other very well.

Agreed! This truck is gorgeous. It was on display at the '10 SEMA show last month. Lots of work done to it.
Had a chance to chat with the owner and found out just a little about what was done:

-5.3l Vortec from an '05 Silverado
-22"Front/24"Rear (or was it 24"F/26"R...?) w/modded wheel tubs/shortened back seat to accomodate.
-Static drop. No bags.
-Full Custom stereo

In short...beautiful. And it was for sale. Truck was from Arizona and may still be available...

Sick ride for sure! I believe the truck was either a showcase vehicle for a stereo shop in AZ or it was sponsored by them so the sounds were pretty impressive as well.

I was convinced that the truck was bagged when I first saw it but when the owner said otherwise, AND said that it rode like a dream, I thought he was a little . A quick inspection underneath the truck and I realized he wasn't kidding!

Took a few more pics of my 72 the other day. Hasn't exactly been topless weather lately but I drive it when I can.

Re: How about some pics of 69-72 Blazers and Jimmys.

Here is my 72' I just got it a couple months ago! I'm friggin jacked and love to drive it.

I'm no mechanic, but have a couple of good friends/local shops that have helped me with it. Since I have bought it I added a softtopper, a tuffy security console, a Procomp distributor/ignition, converted the breather to a PCV valve, fixed the gas gauge, and installed a heavy duty radiator, new battery, regulator on alternator, etc.)

I'm hoping to add quite a bit to my truck (chrome headers, chrome alternator, edelbrock carb, more diamond plating for door interior, swivel back seats, brake conversion, electric fans, a bunch of other goodies and some nitto trail grapplers =) obviously my wish list is far beyond my budget but I have a great wife that understands the need for further customization/restoration =) slowly but surely I will let you know how things are coming along...

BULL72, Sweet rig! But if I could add one tiny bit of advice… Skip the “Chrome Headers” and go for Ceramic coated ones. I have a fair amount of experience with chrome exhaust and unless you plan on making this truck into a trailer Queen for car shows, chrome headers are going to turn blue and rust up quicker than you would expect.
