Roll bar or roll bar dimensions??

Does anyone in Texas have an original roll bar they would like to sell? or possibly the dimensions available to build my own? For my 72 Blazer.

There are no original roll bars for the blazer/ jimmy's. I have a Hickey roll bar that I can take measurements from for you if you like.

Not long ago someone was reproducing these- may be a better route if you can't fab yourself.

Thanks, I did find the Hickey site, I might just order one of theirs and weld it up myself. I appreciate the offer to measure though.

Re: Roll bar or roll bar dimensions??

i bought a jeep roll bar from CL and chopped it up. my goal was integrated shoulder harness and a dome light on the roll bar.
for measuring i used 2" pvc and electric conduit sweeps to mock it up. sweeps have almost the exact bend.
i made it wider and had to extend all the legs to new mount plates but it was a good starting point for me as i can't bend pipe

Here ya go ! This is the dimensions of the box which will help in the design of your bar. I also have a .DXF file of the bar that I made for my truck. PM me with an e-mail address and I'll send it to you because I cant post it here on the forum.

Re: Roll bar or roll bar dimensions??

Is Hickey website back up and running? I was going to get one from them, but then the divorce happened. I had these guys make one up for me.

Re: Roll bar or roll bar dimensions??

I'm in Houston, in the Garden Oaks area. We could always buy one from the Hickey site and use it as a template to build another one. If your interested just let me know.

One would certainly think so, however it doesn't seem to be that cut and dry. I ordered a couple of things from the website on June 9th. Received what I assumed to be an automated confirmation email same day with order number, etc... After a week or so with no other info I reached out. It's been interesting. Emails have gone with no response. Phone number on the website goes to a females voicemail that says basically, "I'm not Hickey Enterprises, don't leave me a message unless you know me".
I found a seller on Ebay, efromthed, that appeared to be selling the exact same items (interestingly enough all seller reviews are very positive and several are quite recent). I reached out via ebay twice. The second time I was a bit more straight forward in my confusion as to his silence, etc and let him know I was in the process of a claim with paypal to get my money back.
Finally got a couple of email responses, 1 sentence responses that were vague at best, saying I could have my money back and he didn't have a record of my order... I sent him the confirmation email and advised I'd prefer to have the parts vs the money, no response.
Odd and confusing. For what it's worth, beware.
