Control arm rebuild ??
Hey guys,I'm finding 2 different part #'s for control; arm rebuild kits.Both are Moog.The first is
K6098 control arm rebuild kit high quality the second is K6256 control arm rebuild kit Problem solver Has anyone used these or can you just enlighten me on what problem the problem solvers take care of?I'm finding that it's going to run $300.00-400.00 to buy the BJ's,and control arm kits,anyone have any better pricing on Moog? I really want to run Moog since their quality is second to none.Anyone have any comments?

I've heard the lower problem solver ball joints are for A-arms that no longer have an interference fit. I tried to press in ball joints on a G-body and I think they were problem solvers. If you can go for a while without the truck, take the lower A-arms to a machine shop and have them tell you which ones you need and have them press them in. Much easier and cost about the same $10 each vs. $20 to replace my broken, cheap 1/2" ratchet.

I can tell you the problem solvers are oversized and a chore to install. That was the only option I found for the nova sub I installed in my 49. I ended up taking my control arms to an alignment shop to have the ball joints installed. They even had a heck of a time using a heavy duty ball joint press and a big hammer to keep the ball joint going in straight. Guy told me that was the biggest problem people run into is not keeping them straight while pressing them in.
