Late Model Seats & console

I was thinking of picking up some 1999 -05 Silverado seats.
I see that quite a few members have installed them, but they look BIG
My gas tank is still in the cab, and I was wondering if it will be too cramped in the cab with these seats installed.
I was hoping for someone who has installed these seats to chime in, and provide advice, and maybe some pics or tips.
I have found this pic, and the seats look like they were made for our trucks

Re: Late Model Seats & console

I tried them. I bought a set that were in really nice shape to try. I have had a few early 2000 Chevy trucks I like the seats and I really liked the fact that they had the seat belts built into them. I’m 6ft tall and they didn’t leave me with as much room as the bench did. I Had the gas tank relocated and steering column slid right down. If memory serves me right I would have had to done something with the front legs on the middle section. There was some thing about either moving the legs back or building something for mounting the front inside. I ended up going with a bench seat out of a 97 regular cab. I picked up the seat for cheap and getting it redone wasn’t much more then I spent on the 06 seats. I’m really happy with it. The guy I traded the 06 seats to was going to install them in his 68. He found the same thing I did and went back to his bench seat also.

Re: Late Model Seats & console

I bought some that looked like brand new, the color matched the interior everything was perfect except they were just to big. I'm not a big guy 5'9 160lbs. I went back to my original seat. I have since bought low back buckets from shop4 seats, they sit kind of high but they fit otherwise.
