Inner fender paint

What is everyone using for inner fender paint. Wanting to paint under my hood and inner fenders satin black. Was looking at some chassis paint from summit, anything better?

Re: Inner fender paint

I used simple Krylon or Rustoleum gloss black on mine. I have to re do them but as a did they looked really good without a lot of cost.

Re: Inner fender paint

I always use the Napa store-brand cheap semi-gloss black for two reasons;
a. its cheap
b. its got just the right about of satin vs gloss for underhood. It matches the look of black pot-metal or ABS. Since things get changed around frequently, I keep a can of it in my toolbox for instant touchups.

I've found that the "premium" brands either look too matte (chalky like primer), or too shiny (regular gloss). The semi-gloss seems to have "Just" the right amount.

Re: Inner fender paint

This stuff works pretty good. I painted my whole frame with it but I used the gal size and a spray gun. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleu...9838/202058876 It says product sold only online but I get it at the stores. go figure. Check your local Home Depot.

Re: Inner fender paint

I am using this for mine. Have shot the frame and everything suspension with it. It gives a very nice egg shell Satin. I am using this paint on my whole build.

Re: Inner fender paint

I use the same stuff that Chevy_Fleetside uses. It is durable stuff too. Make sure you get the Professional labeled product. The quality difference is very noticeable.
