WTB SWB '71 or '72 4x4 in EXCELLENT Condition

I'm really Jonesing for a SUPER nice SWB 4x4. I like the idea of finding a survivor but would entertain a well-sorted restored truck.

If anyone knows of a good candidate, please let me know.

Thx!

Not mine... For the "firm" asking price I would expect the A/C to be charged...

Wow, that doesn’t seem bad to me. Trucks like that are just not that common on this side of the states. Charging the AC wouldn’t be a deal breaker here. I believe the included restored buckets seats help offset the AC fix. Lol

Thats my dream truck too. Been keeping an eye out for a long time and they just don't come up too often. I have to agree about the one above, its alot of money, but it also is a nice piece.

Add me to the list. Lots of looking but no joy. You'd think the seller in CA would put up a pic of the interior on a $25K (firm) truck.

An intriguing truck because it has AC which is rare for a K-10, but it is not running, rusty, a 4 speed and currently bid up close to $8K despite being all of those things.

Re: WTB SWB '71 or '72 4x4 in EXCELLENT Condition

Congratulations, I look forward to seeing you post some pics after you make it yours. You did the right thing if you want a nice truck and not a fixer upper. I would like a custom/10 triple black, but I think I could live with just about any color combo if it was the right truck. This one is on my wallpaper on the desk top most of the time.

516 Orange (I've had both and prefer 516 vs Hugger).

That's a tough call, but I agree, 516 orange is one of my favorites.

I’m not picky, I like all the orange shades on these year trucks. Bling! Bling! They sure stand out in the crowd!

I hope the deal works out. That's a beauty! I had a 516 orange 71 c10 and that color really grew on me.

I bought my '68 C/10 Stepside just because I liked the [516] Color. Still got it.

Not really for sale or in restored condition but hey I like showing her off. Just got my shop pretty much completed and the 2 post lift is here ready for the install. I have been waiting for a few years to start the restoration back to stock condition, she gets pulled into the shop next week for a long road of work.

I know the 2nd owner personally. He was working in Texas in the oilfields and a salesman would come to the office driving the truck. He offered to buy it in 1975 after seeing it for a few years come and go and the guy sold it to him. When i got it it had a dealer optioned 8track and cb which I sold to cover the cost of the truck so my wife couldn't complain......it had a dealer optioned soft top on the cab also.....i.love old truck

The more I look at the orange truck, the more I like it. Dantip, maybe you can tell me, Are pre 73 models the same as the early square bodies? I mean automatics being full time 4wd. I have had a dozen or more 73-80 chevies and they were all NP203 transfer case equipped. I know of at least 2 trucks in our area that are transferred over to the later chassis. I just wonder if there is a reason, other than the fact that it is a cheaper build.

No np203's until the square bodies. 70-72 would have the np205's and lockouts. Trevor
