Roof Rack ?

I was wondering if a roof rack from a '69 impala wagon would work on top of my '69 suburban? I mean are the roofs about the same width? Sorry I don't have any pics of the wagon, I just recently acquired a '69 burban and it has a partial rack and I just located an abandoned impala wagon with a complete and pristene roof rack. Is this doable anyone?? Or what alternatives are there to complete my rack? Thanks!!

Re: Roof Rack ?

I used to have a 66 impala wagon and looking at my burb there probably isn't much in it, maybe the impala's roof is a bit flatter but i would have thought you could do it with a little tweaking

Re: Roof Rack ?

Off topic from the roof rack (sorry to sierragrande71) but;

Dragsterbus I've got to tell you that link to "what's in the garage" was excellent. I really enjoyed it, I wish I had thought of doing something similar during my restoration project. Very cool! Thanks.

The wagon racks are similar to the burb ones, only shorter. You should have no problem mounting as the base of the stands are variable. Here's a picture of my original burb roof rack.
