Need help, best place to purchase frame crossmember

Greetings, new here, just picked up a 70 c10...been creeping around the forums for a bit.
I have recently taken off what remained of the bed and installed a blazer type gas tank and figured out that my rear cross member is bent...where would you guys recommend finding these reproductions?

Thanks in advance

Porterbuilt has a couple of different options in this area, depends on the section you need.

Become a paid member of the forum and then post a WTB ad in the correct parts section.

Re: Need help, best place to purchase frame crossmember

Is the metal actually bent, or does the cross member look really crooked? Because one of the cross members looks wrong, but is angled from the factory. I did a quick google search using the search box at the top of the page. Used the 67-72cheytrucks.com button ... rear crossmember. A bunch of threads come up that may help you.

Thanks cg...the crooked one for triangulation is not the one I need...my rear crossmember is bent, guessing PO put a chain to drag it or something else around...would love to put my ua ds on a factory original and swap out, but looks like aftermarket tubular is all I can find.

I needed to replace a x-member on my 1 ton. Finding one is really hard for a 1 ton ,....I went to my local steel supply and had them bend one for me. Clamped it in place and used the existing frame holes for drilling

You might contact Green's Repair & Restoration in Cameron, TX. (254) 482-0186

They have tons of salvage stuff.

Also, the The 1967-1972 Chevrolet & GMC Pickups Parts Board of this site is always good.

Thanks for the Info! Yea, this thought has crossed my mind...have to weigh costs, like the idea of the original look, but I also like the idea of tubular strength...choices.

Try Early Classic Enterprise I have purchased one from them before. Fits great, looks stock even has the big hole for the light harness. $45.00 in their online catalogue.
