temp/comp rearview mirror

project this weekend. works great, was easy to wire up, and now i can see behind me.

need to clean up the wires a little, but that can wait. my next projects will be suburban captains chairs for the front, new carpet, weather stripping all the way around, window motors, and paint.

need to get a rearend built for my ls-swapped camaro, so that may take precedence.....

Re: temp/comp rearview mirror

i bought the mirror in the classifieds here on the site. it came from a late model gm car/truck. the seller included the pig tail end of the harness to the mirror and the temp sensor. i mounted the sensor on the driverside behind the grill where the air intake hose would go through. we'll see if that's a good location this summer in the heat. if you have any specific questions, please let me know.

Re: temp/comp rearview mirror

I installed the same one as Outlaw.....single line. They are very handy and I love having it there. I'm use to knowing the temp with my newer cars so having one in the Blazer is great!

You can get these on eBay pretty easy though. Gentex is the manufacturer.

This would be nice (dual line display).
